My name is Casey Huynh and I am from Portland Maine. I have been living in Portland since day one. I am a student of the University of New England pre-pharmacy program. I enjoy traveling, baking, and spending time with my friends and family.
It has taken me a while to get to where I am today, and I’m thankful for my friends and family who have supported me throughout my journey. Growing up, English was not my first language due to Vietnamese being my parents native language. As a kid, I hated that my parents had decided to teach me Vietnamese first instead of English. However, I now find the language that my parents taught me is what makes me special. However, I cannot walk on the streets speaking Vietnamese. With the help of my teachers and my friends, my English has been able to flourish. I hope that in the near future, not only will it be my English that has flourished, but other aspects of my life as well.
